ICAVL
Accreditation
Health care organizations are held to very high levels of accountability
-- by peers, by the general public, and by Medicare and other payers.
ICAVL accreditation is a means by which noninvasive vascular
laboratories can evaluate and demonstrate the level of patient care they
provide.
Our vascular laboratory has meet the highest national standards
by the Intersocietal Commission for Accreditation of Vascular
Laboratories (ICAVL), one of only three labs in southern Arizona.
Accreditation verifies that we maintain rigorous standards for our
equipment, study accuracy and staff training and experience.
We provide these services as a Center located on the
Carondelet St. Joseph's campus. In this way can we be available
24/7 to efficiently manage both our hospital and office patients in a
timely manner. This availability is essential to achieving
excellence in our field.
Diagnostic Testing and
Vascular Laboratory
Our in house vascular lab is a non-invasive testing facility that
utilizes ultrasound to address specific blood vessel problems. Vascular
ultrasound can focus on the carotid arteries in the neck, which feed the
brain, the aorta to check for aneurysm, and the arteries and veins of
the arms and legs. These
tests usually take only 20 to 30 minutes and are safe and painless.
Our lab is equipped with three Ultrasound Units and the most advanced Film
less Digital Study Management System available. This leading-edge
technology rivals that of major medical centers and enables us to
provide outstanding patient care and case management.
We are able to schedule tests, determine the need for surgical
intervention, and evaluate outcomes quickly and efficiently.
"Referring physicians are assured reliable results while patients
receive responsive expert care."
